Website scope
The website provides information about Tokaj Grove, time-based pricing, the Regular Guest Card, casual visits and organised programmes. You may use it for ordinary personal and community enquiry purposes. Do not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorised access, submit unlawful content or use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service.
Enquiries and arrangements
Sending a website enquiry does not itself confirm attendance, a programme place or a request-based activity. Tokaj Grove will review the information and reply using the details provided. An arrangement is confirmed only when Tokaj Grove communicates that confirmation.
A normal community-space visit does not require advance registration. Each organised programme has one published status: advance registration required or no advance registration required. Activities available by prior request run only after arrangement.
Time-based prices
All public prices are in New Zealand dollars. The regular tariff is NZ$7.50 for the first 60 minutes and NZ$0.10 for each additional minute. The Regular Guest Card tariff is NZ$5.00 for the first 60 minutes and NZ$0.07 for each additional minute.
The charge is for time spent in the Tokaj Grove community space. It includes access to available everyday games and creative basics, coffee, tea, drinking water, light snacks and included programmes. The first hour means the first 60 minutes; the relevant per-minute rate applies after that.
Regular Guest Card
The Regular Guest Card changes only the time tariff. It can be issued at the venue from the first visit for a one-off NZ$65.00 fee, or issued free after 7 completed paid visits. The card tariff begins once the card is issued. The card does not create points, cashback, priority access, free programmes, gifts or other rewards.
Programmes
Programme details state the recurring schedule or prior-request status, expected duration, intended audience, experience level and registration requirement. A duration is a practical session guide rather than a guarantee that every visit finishes at an identical minute.
Visitors must follow reasonable programme instructions, treat other participants respectfully and use venue materials with care. Tokaj Grove may refuse or end participation where behaviour is unsafe, unlawful, seriously disruptive or materially inconsistent with these terms.
Social poker conditions
Social poker is an in-person Tokaj Grove programme. The venue applies an 18+ house policy. There are no stakes, no poker buy-in or poker-specific entry fee, and no cash or material-value prizes. Chips used to organise play have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.
The ordinary venue time tariff pays for time in the community space and is not a poker stake or buy-in. The website does not provide online poker.
House etiquette
Visitors must respect personal boundaries, avoid harassment or discrimination, keep noise at a level suitable for a shared environment, care for games and materials, and follow reasonable safety and access instructions.
Changes and cancellations
If Tokaj Grove needs to change or cancel a confirmed arranged programme, we will use the contact details supplied for that arrangement to provide reasonable notice where practicable. If you can no longer attend a programme for which you registered, contact us so the arrangement record can be updated. These terms do not create a cancellation fee.
Website accuracy and availability
Tokaj Grove takes reasonable care to keep current prices, opening hours and recurring schedules accurate. Temporary technical or operational interruptions may occur. Nothing on the website guarantees that a particular shared game, material or programme place will be available at every moment.
Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and protections under the Fair Trading Act 1986. Subject to those mandatory rights, each person remains responsible for their own property and for following reasonable venue instructions.
Intellectual property
The Tokaj Grove name, website text, visual design, logo, photographs and other original site materials are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may view and make an ordinary personal copy for planning a visit, but may not republish, sell or commercially exploit the material without permission. Programme participation does not transfer rights in another person’s music, writing, artwork, photography or performance.
Complaints and disputes
Send a service or venue complaint to [email protected] with the relevant date and practical details. We will try to resolve it directly. Depending on the issue, external routes may include Consumer Protection information, the Commerce Commission, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner or the New Zealand Disputes Tribunal.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. New Zealand courts and tribunals have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right to use another forum.
Changes to these terms
The effective date identifies the current version. Changes apply from publication and do not retrospectively remove mandatory consumer rights.
